In the 'INVESTMENT' phase, you may purchase Markets, Woolen Mills, an addition to your Palace, an addition to your Cathedral, or a platoon of 25 soldiers. To make a puchase, press the PURCHASE button to the right of the investment that you wish to buy. You may purchase as many as you wish. When you are through making purchases, press the 'NEXT=>' button to advance to 'NEW YEAR' phase.

Each market earns you 75 gold florins in rent. Each Woolen Mill produces a profit income each year. It also employes 100 serfs -- which are NOT available to farm your land.

There is an unseen factor called the economic value that works behind the scenes and affects all aspects of your enconomy. Investing in Markets, Woolen Mills, Palace additions, and Cathedral additions have positive effects upon your economic value.
